If you’re learning, improving, blasting, gybing or freestyling this is the place for you. It is a unique wind location offering a range of conditions to suit all levels of windsurfer. The wind at Vass is perfect. In the morning you’ll see a calm sea breeze ideal for the beginner and improver groups. The afternoon will bring a cross-shore wind typically between a force 4-8, ideal for improvers to advanced levels.

Kit and tuition

With a total of over 300 Starboard, RRD, Tabou and Fanatic boards and over 300 Severne sails there will be plenty to choose from. Also included is use of their range of mountain bikes and stand up paddleboards. Club Vass includes instruction in their package with highly talented RYA qualified coaches. As ever we endeavour to send a QM member of staff heading out to join you helping with anything, upholding the QM vibe. With experience of the location we can advise and organise excursions, recommend restaurants and of course offer extra tuition along with the famous tandem rides!

Accommodation

The sea-front hotel (Club Vass Hotel) overlooking the centre, is equipped with a terrace restaurant and beach bar, decked kit racks, mountain bike centre, 'Zen Zone' for yoga, massage and fitness, surf shop, outdoor pool, Wi Fi, teaching lawns, crèche and kids' clubs, video studio and open air cinema. Andromeda is a 10 minute walk to the club providing self-catering with a fridge, dual hob and sink. It also has a great pool and is right next to the local supermarket.

What else to do!

In the morning, when the wind is light, a must is a SUP to the village for an ice cream until the wind starts. Then when the wind stops blowing, a trip to the legendary Zues bar in the evening for some guaranteed entertainment! For the active there’s mountainbiking, wakeboarding, waterskiing, diving, stand up paddleboarding, snorkelling, all just a few of the light wind alternatives along with rib rides to nearby beaches if you fancy. The best option is to go out for food, as a QM group, in the evening as there is a great selection of restaurants in the village a 15 minute walk away or 5 minute the other way to the smaller village.
