Topper Nationals Report

The Magic Marine Topper National Championships were held this year in the Welsh resort of Pwllheli on the 30th July.  This is the UK National Championships of the Topper class and a record 370 competitors arrived from all over the UK to be greeted by typical Welsh weather. Queen Mary at the National Schools Sailing Association Regatta

QM entered a team of 10 in this years NSSA regatta which took place at Datchet Sailing Club. We had 8 toppers, a laser 4.7 and a laser radial.  For the majority of the fleet, their previous experience of start lines had been limited to about 20 boats so getting lined up alongside 80 of the best. . . read more
 

Topper Open Meeting 24th July

18 sailors arrived at Queen Mary this morning for our Topper Open Meeting, part of the SE Topper Traveller Series. 4 races were planned with 2 in the morning and 2 after lunch and despite rather light shifty winds we managed to complete all 4 races within the time planned.
