In order to hire a boat and sail with confidence beginners need both RYA and Level 1 and 2 in either singlehanders (smaller 1 person boats) or doublehanders (larger 2-4 person boats). Please state your choice of boat: singlehanders allow more helming time and are more lively!

Sailing courses are split into two stages:

Beginner Courses - Beginners will need both the RYA Level 1 course followed by the RYA Level 2 course in either single-handers or 2/3 person boats. Please ask for advice.

Advanced Courses - Participants on these courses should be competent to RYA level 2 standard. Only book on these courses if you have. sailed recently and have solid Level 2 skills in the type of boat you will be using.

Coaching - Tell the instructor what you would like to cover or try one of our boats listed for the 1st time. For those who have recently completed level 2 or who have been away from sailing for some time.
