Jim Saltonstall talk Wednesday March 9th

Jim Saltonstall MBE will be welcomed to Queen Mary SC to share his knowledge and experience with us on Championship Preparation.

After working as the Royal Navy Sailing Coach, Jim was head hunted by the RYA to become the National Racing Coach. He then went out to develop a youth sailing programme that has become the National Youth Sailing Scheme used internationally, and made Britain the top sailing nation at youth and Olympic levels.

Jim was honoured for his contributions to youth sailing worldwide during the 1997 New Years Honours when he received an MBE. Jim has mentored hundreds of sailors from many nations during his involvement with the ISAF Athlete Participation Programme. Having coached sailors to top the medals tables at the Olympics in Atlanta and Sydney, Jim's wealth of experience and knowledge will be well received by all who come.

Supper will be available from 19:00, and the talk will start at 20:00. The supper costs £5.50. The talk is available for £5 for visitors, and is free to Club members.
