Training

Queen Mary Sailsports is a large, professionally run, Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Centre within Queen Mary Sailing Club, offering sailing and windsurfing lessons for adults and children from March to October.  We are conveniently located just to the west of London on the Surrey Middlesex border.

Scheduled courses run at weekends during the season and, for children, we also offer School holiday courses in sailing, windsurfing and multi activity sessions. Powerboat courses run at weekends or can be scheduled to suit individual requirements. Personal tuition is also available on a 1:1 and 1: 2 basis.

It is not a requirement to be a member of Queen Mary Sailing Club to participate in training or to hire equipment. RYA Level 2/Stage 3 ability is required to hire dinghies and RYA Start Windsurfing /Stage 2 ability is required to hire windsurfing kit.

The majority of adult courses run at weekends. Youth courses for 8-15 year olds are offered during all school holidays (except for Christmas and February half-term) and at weekends. Courses generally run from March to October with personal tuition available all year round. The office is open 7 days a week to make bookings or to discuss your requirements with our friendly staff.
