RYA Dinghy Assistant Instructor
Timing
This two day course runs from 09:30 to 19:00 both days.
Pre-requisites
You should have passed at least one of the Advanced Modules from the National Sailing Scheme before attending this course, and be recommended by the training centre Principal or Chief Instructor. TeachingThe Assistant Instructor is trained to assist qualified instructors to teach beginners up to the standard of the National Sailing Scheme Level 2 and the Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 3.
The award is specific to the centre where the training is delivered.
The course covers the centre's safe operating procedures and the role of an Assistant Instructor at QM. Training will be based around the Club's fleet of training boats.
Successful candidates will be awarded the Assistant Instructor certificate.
What to bring
We provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids although if you have your own you are welcome to use them. You should bring: swimwear (to wear under wetsuit), shoes you are happy to get wet, a towel, a change of clothes, suntan cream, a hat, and a water bottle
