Next Steps Sailing (10-15 years): Stage 2

All of our courses are taught by RYA qualified instructors in groups with a maximum ratio of 6 students to each instructor. Teaching takes place on the water and in the classroom and we move between the two depending on the group, the weather conditions and the requirements of the curriculum. We normally use Laser Picos on this course and the student will usually be sailing single handedly.

The next steps course at Queen Mary focuses on RYA Stage 2 of the curriculum. On achieving Stage 2, the student will have a range of sailing skills and background knowledge, and be well on the way to being a confident small boat sailor.
