RYA Keelboat Courses for RTYC Members 

The Royal Thames Yacht Club (RTYC) is delighted to announce an exciting partnership with Queen Mary Sailing Club (QMSC) to offer RYA Keelboat courses exclusively to its members. This new program, launching in Autumn 2024, is tailored for individuals eager to embark on their sailing journey or to transition their skills from dinghies to keelboats. The courses, which adhere to the RYA syllabus, include RYA Level 1 and RYA Level 2 training. Each course spans two days, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive learning experience.

These specialized training sessions, conducted on RTYC's fleet of Sonar keelboats at QMSC, are reserved for RTYC members and their guests. To make this opportunity even more appealing, the course prices have been reduced by 20%, making this is an excellent chance to either begin your sailing adventure or to refine your existing skills under expert guidance.

Start Sailing RTYC

Keelboat RYA Level 1: Start Sailing (RTYC MEMBERS)

The Keelboat RYA Level 1 - Start Sailing course assumes that the student has not sailed before. After you have learnt to rig the boat and received an introduction to the boat's controls, the group will take to the water to experience for the first time under the close supervision of a qualified RYA keelboat instructor.

Keelboat RYA Level 2: Basic Skills (RTYC Members)

The Keelboat RYA Level 2 - Basic Skills course assumes that the student has previously achieved the RYA Level 1 - Start Sailing certificate. This course builds on the skills learned and supports you on the way to becoming an independent sailor.
