Winter Windsurf Squad

The all new Winter Windsurfing Development will look at developing skills for those of Stage 3 and above. Whether you’re looking to improve your Tacks & Gybes, getting into the footstraps, nailing down your Carve Gybes or developing your Race Starts; this course will look to keep developing your skills over the winter so that you can take full advantage of the warm Summer month.

The sessions will be one day per month and will be focussed around short sharp sessions on the water, with use of video feedback and some classroom learning to help cope with the cold winter months. If you haven’t already, it will be worth investing in some warm layers as the cold winter waters make life tricky at times!

It will be a great winter of windsurfing for the club so please do get involved!

The winter months can be challenging – in temperature as well as breeze.  All participants need to be happy in windsurfing in the cooler temperatures and breezier conditions that is likely to be experience.

Eligibility

All participants need to be current QM club members.

In order to succeed on this training you need to be able to confidently windsurf in moderate conditions (Force 4) and hold RYA stage 3 at least.

We encourage those with their own kit to attend the training, but QM have equipment available to hire at £15/day (Select Youth membership covers this); this would need to be confirmed with the QM office prior to booking on to ensure availability.
