SELECT WINDSURFING MEMBERSHIP

Welcome to Windsurfing without the time and costs involved in owning your own equipment!

This unique gym-style membership tailored specifically for Windsurfers, provides access to a wide range of windsurfing sails and boards (and harnesses). Allowing you to rock up and go windsurfing without the time, costs and storage involved in owning your own gear. We call it Select!

  • £80 per month - Select Windsurfing Adult
  • £100 per month - Select Multi sport (Go Windsurfing, Sailing and Keelboating)

Further discounts for those under 30 yrs, all agreements subject to a 12 months contract.

Upon completing RYA Start Windsurfing you're are invited to join - with the joining fee waived if starting at the end of a course held at Queen Mary. Our Group Coaching is included as a regular programme of training to develop and harness your skills.

Membership grants unlimited windsurfing equipment use, a 20% discount on courses and club activities, and access to wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets, and support and advice from our expert team.

Additionally Queen Mary offers a full training packages to complete the full RYA syllabus, windsurfing is £20 per month, please see us for more information on this. For multi-sport a minimum skill level is required to start each activity, you may need to complete training or a competency course first.

BOOKING EQUIPMENT

QM Select members are able to reserve equipment up to a week in advance. Bookings are preferred to enable us to anticipate arrivals yet are not mandatory. Continuation of sailing after the booked period is welcomed, subject to availability.

RIGGING

Assistance with rigging and launching is always available, with dedicated staff at weekends.  QM Select members are encouraged to learn how the range of equipment is rigged, launched and stored.

TRAINING

From beginners upwards, skills and confidence afloat can be improved through training and we have a full range of RYA courses which are included free of charge. Group Sail or Windsurf Coaching sessions are included once per month for those who have achieved RYA Level 2 or RYA Start Windsurfing as preparation for further courses. PERSONAL TUITION

1:1 tuition is a great way to give skills and confidence a boost, with sessions available to QM Select members at reduced rates.

OPENING TIMES

Sailing and windsurfing with safety cover is available 7 days a week from April to September and Wednesday-Sunday from October to March. Plenty of evening sailing is available when the wind is up. Full details of opening hours are on our website.

EQUIPMENT AND THIRD PARTY COVER

Monthly fees include damage-waiver cover for accidental damage to equipment (no excess) plus third party liability cover (£200 excess).
