Youth Select Membership

Welcome to Youth Select for Sailing and Windsurfing without the time and costs involved in owning your own equipment!

This unique gym-style membership tailored specifically for young sailors, providing access to a wide range of boats and windsurfing kit, boards (and harnesses). Allowing you to rock up and go sailing and/or windsurfing without the time, costs and storage involved in owning your own gear. We call it Select!

We've got everything you need to get on the water at QMSC.

Youth Sailing or Windsurfing

Age: 8-15 years old

Choose to join as a sailor or windsurfer and get all the below perks included.

  • Access to Youth boats and boards 
  • All Youth Member Weekend Sailing for free including Aqua Foxes (Stage 2), Ospreys (Stage 3) and QM Race Squad for sailors.
  • All Skimmers, Shredders, and Race Squad sessions for Windsurfers.
  • SAVE 20% on all RYA Courses and personal tuition
  • FREE USE OF Wetsuits, Helmets & Buoyancy aids
  • No Maintenance costs and Insurance costs are covered
  • Support and advice from our expert team
  • HASSLE FREE!!

This membership includes all youth training dinghies as standard, e.g. Toppers, RS Fevas, Teras, Picos and Qubas and youth windsurf training kit. Pay a small fee to upgrade your membership to include Lasers (ideal for 15-16 year olds) or intermediate windsurf kit.

Young Adult Select Member

Age: 16-30 years old

A very affordable hire only membership option. Get all of these perks of your membership:

  • Access to Youth and Adult boats and boards
  • SAVE 20%on all RYA Courses and personal tuition

On the water all year round without the time and costs involved in owning your own equipment!

 

CREWING

Youth Select members can take guests sailing (provided they have Stage 4). Visits cost £10.

Club members may helm (with the appropriate experience) or crew with a QM Youth Select member for free.

EQUIPMENT AND THIRD PARTY COVER

Monthly fees include damage-waiver cover for accidental damage to equipment (no excess) and third party liability cover (£200 excess).

Please note:Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent /guardian while on QMSC property, In accordance with QMSC Byelaws 9 & 10.

BOOKING EQUIPMENT

QM Youth Select members are able to reserve equipment up to a week in advance, subject to availability. Bookings are preferred to enable us to anticipate arrivals but are not mandatory.

RIGGING

Assistance with rigging and launching is always available with dedicated staff at weekends. QM Select members are encouraged to learn how the range of equipment is rigged, launched and stored.

20% Discount on all youth courses & Personal Tuition

TRAINING

From beginners to top racers, skills and confidence afloat can be improved through training and we have a full range of RYA courses which are available with a 20% discount as a Youth Select member.

PERSONAL TUITION 1:1

Tuition is a great way to give skills and confidence a boost. Sessions are available with a 20% discount to QM Youth Select members.

CLUB RACING

QM Youth Select members holding the RYA Start Racing certificate, or with equivalent experience, are welcome to participate in ClubRacing. This takes place on Sunday mornings all year round, on Bank Holidays and on Wednesday evenings from April toSeptember.
