Club Racing takes place every Sunday morning throughout the year along side a Spring to Summer Wednesday Evening Series. Go to page
We run two races in a mixture of fleets (Laser, Laser Radial and RS400s) and handicaps (Fast Handicap, Slow Handicap and Fast Windward Leeward). The first start of the first race is no earlier than 10.30 and each race lasts between 40 minutes and an hour.
The Sunday morning racing calendar is split into seasons: Frostbite, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter with prizes available for each season.
We are trialling a 2 start series for our Winter 2018 and Frostbite 2018/2019 Sunday race series.
In 2019 there will be 2 QM Sprint days: on 26th May & 11th August. These are 1 day events with multiple short handicap races.
Open Pursuit Races: for 2019, there will be 2 Open Pursuit Races - on Easter Bank Holiday Monday (22nd April) & Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday (27th May).
Between April and September we run a Wednesday evening series where the format is based on an average handicap format with everyone going off the same start line. People stay for supper afterwards and we have a mid-season BBQ on the middle Wednesday of the series (date tbc).
The Club Championships will be held as part of our 'Bart's Bash' weekend of sailing events, on Sunday 15th September 2019. The format this will take will be publicised nearer the date.
We have a good mix of Open Meetings hosted at QMSC throughout the year. Go to Page
