Keelboat Select Membership
Welcome to Keelboat Sailing and Racing without the time and costs involved in owning your own keelboat!
This unique pay and play membership for keelboating, provides access to a six RS21 Keelboats allowing you to rock up and go! Sailing without the time, costs, management and storage involved in owning your own gear. At a Sailing Club where members are not required to do duties!
- £82 per month - Keelboat Select Membership
- £102 per month - Select Multi sport (Go Keelboating, Windsurfing and Sailing)
Keelboats provide a stable platform for sailing without the physical stress of hiking out or crouching down, reducing stress on back, hips and knees. There is more space in the boat to move around and a different social dynamic. With 3 or 4 people on the boat, the crewing experience can be far more rewarding. And of course, there is no need to wear a wetsuit as you do not get so wet!

Upon completing RYA Keelboat Level 1, or if you have experience a QM Keelboat conversion course, you're are invited to join - with the joining fee waived if starting at the end of a course held at Queen Mary. Our Group Coaching is included as a regular programme of training to develop and harness your skills.

Our membership requires a minimum commitment of three months. After the initial period, it automatically continues on a rolling monthly basis. Should you wish to cancel, just provide one month's notice. And we offer additional discounts for members under 30 years old.

Keelboat membership options
Select Keelboat memberships has a joining fee that is waivered when signing up on RYA Keelboat Level 1 course and membership includes RYA Keelboat Level 2 course.

How to get involved
- Option for Beginner Sailors - RYA Keelboat Level 1 followed by RYA Keelboat Level 2. Courses run over a full weekend learning the basics of sailing and keel boating.
- Options for Experienced Sailor - If you’re an experienced dinghy sailor our Keelboat conversion and skipper training course is the perfect first step. This is an orientation day to show you how the RS21s are rigged and sailed and to sign you off as an RS21 Skipper.
