About the Training Course:
- Duration: Typically 50 hours over 5 days, or modular over weekends/days.
- Comprehensive training in teaching techniques, both afloat and ashore.
- Supervised by experienced RYA Coaches/Assessors with moderation on the final day.
- Focus on developing your skills in course preparation, delivery, management, and customer interaction.

Dinghy Instructor Courses
Start your journey to become a Dinghy Instructor (DI - age 16+). Includes links for becoming an Assistant Instructor (age 14+) and your DI pre-assessment. For DI's there are links for advanced endorsements, racing, foiling, cats and keelboats.

RYA Powerboat Instructor
4 day course including skills assessment on day 1
Qualified to teach - Up to and including Powerboat Level 2 under the supervision of the Principal or Chief Instructor. If you hold the Safety Boat Certificate, you may also teach the RYA Safety Boat Course.
Minimum age 16

RYA Keelboat Instructor
5 day course with the first two days being held at the AHOY Centre, Deptford, London and the following 3 days at QMSC.
Nationally recognised qualification for teaching keelboat sailing
Minimum age 16

RYA Keelboat Pre-Entry Assesment
1 day assessment to test the candidates sailing skills in preparation for the 5-day Instructor training course
Usually held in an RS21 Keelboat
