Sailing, Windsurfing and SUP

We’re delighted to announce that a limited selection of our club kit is now available for equipment hire by club members and non-members! Whether you're a confident windsurfer or sailor, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy time on the water, experience our facilities, and get a feel for what club membership has to offer.

Please note: the Sailing Manager on duty is responsible for safety and retains the right to refuse hire on the day if conditions or experience are not suitable.

  • Club Members enjoy a 25% discount on all hires.
  • RS21 keelboats can be hired. Please email sailondon@queenmary.org.uk with your enquiry.

Sailing Dinghies 

Sailors must be at the RYA 'Stage 3' for juniors and 'Level 2' for adults or have good experience to be allowed to hire equipment. 

Windsurfing Kit

Windsurfers must be at the RYA 'Stage 2' for youth level and 'Start Windsurfing' level for adults, or have good experience to be allowed to hire equipment. 

Please Note: 'Windsurfing Kit' is reserved for Select Members at weekends, non-members can arrange a one off hire (at weekends) to try the Select kit before joining, new members are welcome! 

Stand Up Paddle-boarding 

Although we require minimal ability to hire SUP boards, SUPing itself is restricted to light wind conditions. Please check the wind and call the club (01784 248881) to ensure we are permitting SUPing before coming down. 

Double Hander Hire QMSC

Hire - Double-Hander Dinghy

A one and half hour session sailing a club double-handed dinghy, you must be a competent sailor with good sailing experience.

Hire includes use of wetsuit, buoyancy aid, changing rooms and club house facilities.

An hour and half session of Stand Up Paddle-boarding (SUPing) - Includes the Super Mile Challenge - SUP one mile during the session and get your medal! 

One board per person; minimum age of 12 (younger children must be on same board as parent). Hire includes use of wetsuit, buoyancy aid, SUP and paddle. Access to club house and changing rooms
