You're Invited to Lap the Lake for Eric

Queen Mary Sailing Club is excited to announce that we will again be organising a charity lap of our reservoir, this time for the Eric Twiname Trust.

This is a unique opportunity to walk the 4.2 Mile reservoir perimeter, which is not normally open to the public. We are very grateful to Thames Water for the opportunity and hope that supporters of the Club will be inspired to take part.

Date TBC for 2021

Fundraising for the Eric Twiname Trust

In 1984 the trust was established in memory of Eric Twiname: sailor, journalist, playwright and author. The Trust’s aim is to provide financial assistance in the organisation, training and provision of facilities which will enable and encourage young people in full time education to participate in racing sailing.

How to take part

There is no booking required to take part - simply turn up, make a charity donation and enjoy your walk around the reservoir.

Sadly no dogs allowed on Thames Water premises and the the walk is not suitable for wheelchairs.
