Youth Group

Youth Group is a fun, social opportunity for those aged 9-15 to get on the water with other young members throughout the main season on Sundays. We aim to offer support both socially and on the start line, building a strong community of youth sailors and parents.

Our YG sessions are for those who want to build confidence and have fun on the water.

The sessions are led by the QM professional Instructor team with the support of parent volunteers.  To join Youth Group, participants need to have completed RYA Stage 3 and be a member of QM.  Parents (or a responsible adult acting in loco parentis) must remain onsite throughout the YG sessions, and there are also plenty of opportunities for parents to get involved in volunteer roles.

Youth Group – Having Fun Sailing!

Now that you have gained RYA Stage 3 and you’re not a beginner anymore, lets get you out sailing! Youth Group is a session for young people who love getting on the water. The main focus is for all participants to have fun and increase confidence and independence on the water.

This fun group meets over three terms. Dinghies typically used are Toppers and Fevas, but members with their own boats are welcome to use other boat classes.

It’s time to join youth group! See all available terms below.
