Ahoy there! If you've slipped your moorings, hoisted your sails and honed your skills in your Stage 3 and Sea Badgers and it's now time to put your abilities to the test in Ospreys the first step to take towards the podium!

Youth Group Ospreys

Youth Group Ospreys takes place on Sunday mornings (10:00-12:30 however please arrive at 9.30 to start getting boats ready) and will introduce the basic skills and concepts behind racing in a fun and relaxed environment. Through on and off-water lessons, exercises and games you will gain confidence and new abilities to help you zoom your way around a race course.

These sessions are for those who have not raced or have very little racing experience. If you have previous racing experience, you may be more suited to QM Race Squad.

A typical session starts at 10:00 rigged and ready to go with a briefing and overview of the morning's focus. The sessions will be a mix of theory, rigging and racing, ending at 12:30. The on-water training will take place away from club racing to give space and time to learn the basics. After attending enough ospreys sessions, you will have enough racing experience to take part in QM Race Squad and be well on your way to the podium!

So, if you have never been on a start line and are totally new to racing, this is for you.
