Boat, Boards and SUP Hire

We are delighted to offer equipment hire to non-members on a limited range of club kit. Availability and booking links at the bottom of this page, note for all bookings the sailing manager on duty has responsibility for safety and may refuse hire on the day. If you are a competent windsurfer or sailor it's a great way to see the club and get a taste of what membership would be like. 

There is a 20% discount for club members.

Sailing Dinghies 

Sailors must be at the RYA 'Stage 3' for juniors and 'Level 2' for adults or have good experience to be allowed to hire equipment. 

Windsurfing

Windsurfers must be at the RYA 'Stage 2' for youth level and 'Start Windsurfing' level for adults, or have good experience to be allowed to hire equipment. 

Please Note: 'Windsurfing Kit' is reserved for Select Members at weekends, non-members can arrange a one off hire (at weekends) to try the Select kit before joining, new members are welcome! 

Stand Up Paddleboarding 

Although we require minimal ability to hire SUP boards, SUPing itself is restricted to light wind conditions. Please check the wind and call the club (01784 248881) to ensure we are permitting SUPing before coming down. 

Double Hander Hire QMSC

Hire - Double-Hander Dinghy

A one and half hour session sailing a club double-handed dinghy, you must be a competent sailor with good sailing experience.

Hire includes use of wetsuit, buoyancy aid, changing rooms and club house facilities.

An hour and half session of Stand Up Paddle-boarding (SUPing) - Includes the Super Mile Challenge - SUP one mile during the session and get your medal! 

One board per person; minimum age of 12 (younger children must be on same board as parent). Hire includes use of wetsuit, buoyancy aid, SUP and paddle. Access to club house and changing rooms
