RYA Safety Boat

The course, led by an RYA Safety Boat Instructor, introduces a range of safety and rescue techniques to support and rescue dinghies, windsurfers and other water users.

The course content includes:

  • Dinghy Rescue
  • Windsurfer rescue
  • Kayak or Canoe Rescue
  • Towing
  • End of Day Procedures
  • Theory to include use of VHF, suitability of craft, searches and knowledge of additional rescue situations.

Course info

Location: Queen Mary Sailing Club

Minimum Duration: 2 days.

Teaching Ratio: 1 instructor to 6 students.

Logbook not included in course price. Certificate included but not guaranteed unless on successful completion of course.
