Next Steps Windsurfing: Stage 2

The Next Steps Course at Queen Mary focuses on RYA Stages 2 of the national curriculum. The course assumes you have completed stage 1 of windsurfing. During Stage 2 the student will learn more practical skills, including tacking and gybing, enabling them to make progression towards and away from the wind.

All of our courses are taught by RYA qualified instructors in groups with a maximum ratio of 6 students to each instructor. Teaching takes place on the water and in the classroom and  we move between the two depending on the group, the weather conditions and the requirements of the curriculum.

This course is run over 5 half days in Easter, Summer Half Term, Summer and October Half Term. However, they will run over three days in the last week of August due to the bank holiday.
